What is a surfboard? This may seem like a dumb question, and the answer might seem even dumber: it's what you're riding. You see, everyone has a different idea of what a surfboard, or more accurately, their "ideal" surfboard, is. For an older surfer, it may be a 10'0" classic single fin. For a kid, it's a standard shortboard just like their favorite pro rides. For an investment banker who can only get out on the weekends, it's a high-performance funboard. The point here is that for every different person, there is a different type of surfboard. Find yours. Keep an open mind to design changes and experiment. Try your friend's board-get a feel for someone else's trip. Life is for living, and surfing is for making life more interesting!
